A family history
An evolution from 1959
The Grotta was purchased by our maternal grandparents in 1959 at a cost of 200,000 lire. It was used as a dwelling typical of the period shared with the animals from the stable.
After the birth of our mother, which took place in the Cave, the grandparents have moved to another house, and the Cave was used as a storage and a place for the preparations of the wine and preserves.
After the earthquake of 1980, the Grotto was refurbished, covering completely all times, and the stone arches as well as the area of tufa, rediscovered, with great wonder, following the renovation began for our project.
The name SUONN’ SUONN’ recalls the “nickname” of our maternal grandparents.
